Our client handles the media planning and buying for some of the world’s smartest advertisers. They are looking for an experienced Comms Planner, with over 3 years experience working within a media agency. The Comms Planning Manager position, will be working on a portfolio of retail and energy & home clients.


The Role:

• You will be a key client contact, forming close relationships with clients to become the face of our company

• Being part of the planning team also means leading the development of the brand’s communication strategy, working in partnership with our strategists and clients’ other agencies

• Ensure strong communication internally and with all other agency partners so information is efficiently and effectively shared

• Forge solid working relationship with the internal team, orchestrating the development of multi-channel plans and responses to client briefs with the Connect, Marketplace and Biddable teams

• Help drive innovation that is founded in clear audience insight

• Own day to day management of campaign delivery and client finances

• Develop strategic recommendations for clients in conjunction with AD, BD and strategy team

• Brief internal teams in an inspiring way

• Help grow client business by selling in and developing new growth opportunities



• At least 3 years’ experience of working in either a media agency or similar environment, preferably in the UK

• Ability to lead and organise an internal team of highly skilled specialists, including TV, outdoor, press, digital, mobile, social, events and search to ensure coherent joined up output from the agency

• Experience as the client’s main contact and organising and briefing internal (and external) members of the team to deliver on expectations

• They should be happy ensuring the day to day running of a large account including smooth financial management, juggling diary commitments, communicating with internal team members through status sessions and earning the trust of other agency partners

• Ambition to grow and develop within the biggest media agency in the country and one of the biggest networks in the world

• Confidence to build close relationship with clients and to present in front of rooms of people

•  Ability to anticipate the needs of clients to make sure we are always delivering above their expectations

• Negotiation skills to be able to manage internal relationships to deliver on all projects and tasks

• Keen insight driven planning skills and ability to tell compelling and convincing stories

• Always striving to innovate, try new things and be creative
